Dear Brother and Sister Thompson,
We gratefully acknowledge the appointment of your son, Elder Thompson, to serve as the District Leader of the Central District. He has received this assignment because of his faithful and obedient service to the Lord. His demonstration of missionary skills and his genuine concern for others qualify him for this work.
As a District Leader, Elder Thompson will supervise and inspire the missionaries within the District, as well as, continue to care, along with his companion Elder Anthony Larsen, for their own proselyting area. Elders who are District Leaders also interview candidates for baptism. He Will also make sure that the welfare of the missionaries is in harmony with the accepted standards of the mission.
We are grateful for your son and his dedicated, selfless service to the Lord. May the Lord richly bless you and Elder Thompson as you prayerfully support this sacred work.
