9/9/2024 Week 35- baptism week pt. 4
Monday we went to the Old Fashioned Pancake house for our district lunch, I mean it was pretty good but could have been better. The rest of our pday we just played a couple card games, one of them -What Do You Meme- was really fun and well I ended up winning :) oh and I finished the day off by cutting the hair of the Elders in my district. First time doing it, but I think it turned out good!
Tuesday we had Zone Conference!!! Which was so incredible! The biggest focus was on prayer and how we can pray with more intent and desire. OK AND we went to the Fort Worth Temple Site for a portion of it!! It was so cool, I went 6 weeks ago or so and it's crazy how fast it's being built!! Can't wait to go back when it's dedicated in 2 years.
Wednesday we had a crazy day filled with DC and afterward a couple visits and two really good Visits with Marren and Kyle!! 2 of our friends on date!
Thursday is where we saw so many miracles!! It seems like the days we are on campus is when we see God magnifying our efforts so much. The day started out really slow, we were rejected by everyone we talked to which sucked.... but then we talked to Franco and that's when things started to pick up! We had a lesson with our friend Ola and let's just say the spirit was so strong in the lesson! We invited him to be baptized and he accepted and is preparing for October 12th!!! And then later in the day we also had a crazy lesson with Landon! The spirit was again so strong, so we invited him to be baptized and now he's preparing for October 12th as well!! God is preparing so many people right now!!! But get this, it doesn't end there. We got a referral who lives an hour south of us. We drove down and we started talking to him, getting to know him. GUESS what he said?? He said "I was baptized when I was younger but I know I need to be baptized again" So we invited him to be baptized on October 19th!!! He practically put himself on date which was insane! GOD BLESSES PEOPLE WHO PUT FORTH EFFORT!!!!
Ok anyway, Friday was pretty good too. I went on Exchange with Elder Wilson and it was fun! He is so awesome!!! We had a couple lessons with Omar and Braylon, as well as one with Kyle.
Saturday was the big day!!! Omar's baptism. The turnout was so good, I was expecting like 10 people but we got around 25 so that was cool. AND the stake president showed up so that was super awesome!!! The rest of the day was pretty calm.
Sunday was amazing as always! Had ward council early in the morning so we had to wake up at 5:45 😵💫. Other than that 5th Ward's service was great and in the YSA, Omar got confirmed!!! It was so cool to see the amount of people who talked to him afterward!
Have a great week yall!!

9/2/2024 Re: Week 34- did I go swimming???
Ok so this week wasn't as chaotic as last week but hey, it was still awesome!
Monday we went pawning for a little while and then we went and played baseball again. At least for a little while then we ended up playing wiffle ball!! Our team won obviously... For FHE there was some cool presentations on science stuff like radios and oobleck.
Tuesday we got to go to the temple!!! One of the new members-Ernest... not really new he's been a member for 10 months, anyway it was his first time so we go to proxy baptisms with him and it's so awesome!!! He absolutely loved it and said he can't wait to go again!! Had a lesson with our friend Braylon who is so cool!! Ended the day with volleyball!
Wednesday we had DC and spent only a little time on campus but we got to talk to a member that goes there but us in a different ward! Anyway, for young men's they went swimming(we obviously didn't) and well our Bishop also does a polar plunge so I asked him to set it up for me! Stayed in for 33 minutes, it wasn't too bad. After all that we had dinner with a member!!
Thursday we got to be on campus the whole day, we didn't find as many people as we did last week but we did find a few people that wanted ro meet up again!! Campus can be really tough sometimes but also super fun! Got to go to institute that night as well!!
Friday we had a few lessons, one with Omar who is preparing to be baptized this coming Saturday! He's so amazing. For dinner we got to go to a really good Italian place.
Saturday we got to help a friend pick out a bunch of fabric colors for his quilt... don't ask why he needed our help idk. It was a lot of fun though, and he took us to Texas Roadhouse afterward too 🙃. Then we just did a bunch of driving around visiting people!
Sunday was so filled with miracles. We show up to church at 9am and meet this new guy. We talk to him for a bit before church and tells us his conversion story so we ask him afterward if wants to move his records to our ward and well he let us know that he hasn't been baptized yet but was supposed to. So in that moment, we invited him to be baptized!!! He is preparing for September 21st!! It's so crazy how God puts people in the right place!
Funny meme 🙃

8/26/2024 Week 33- Recognizing the Hand of the Lord!!
This week is one of the best weeks I've had on my mission so far! It was absolutely filled with miracles and we saw the Hand of the Lord in everything we did!!
Before we get into the incredible miracles, Monday was a really fun day!! We went fishing first thing in the morning and I caught my first bass. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE!!! (See pictured attached) Then we went thrifting again which is always fun! Then we ended up playing baseball as a district!! Man, I absolutely love baseball, definitely missed it. Played poker after that and well it was my second time playing and as always I ended up winning 😁. Ended the night by playing chair soccer with the ysa and I won a round of that too :)
Tuesday was absolutely incredible too! Started the day off with a fantastic district council and then Elder Gibbs and I started an exchange!! We went straight onto TCC campus and let's just say I am so glad to be back on a college campus, I absolutely love being able to talk to people my age and they are usually more humble and willing to talk to us! Got to play volleyball that night and our friend Braylon was able to make it!!
Wednesday we started the day off with a lesson with Braylon!! He is so baller!! He skipped school to meet with us which is absolutely insane. The spirit was so strong during the lesson!! Sadly we weren't able to be on campus but we got to have Dinner with the Waldman's a returning family who are goated!! Brother Waldman is so awesome. Got to end the day off and Young Men's playing poison ball which is just another variation of dodgeball. And I won a few rounds ;) That was pretty rough though. I had so much on my mind and I was stressing so hard about all that going on in our area so I decided to ask for extra strength that night in prayer. And oh boy did Heavenly Father answer my prayer!! I know that prayer is an incredible tool that we can all use when going through hard times!!!
Thursday was absolutely insane!!! We decided that it'd be best if we spent all day on campus and thats when we started to see the hand of the Lord! We were on campus for about 4 hours total and about 3 of them was us walking around a talking to people. God had placed so many prepared people in our path and we were able to find 12 new people to teach in 3 hours?!?! The power that comes along with prayer is unmatched. God absolutely does hear our prayers and will bless us immensely if we reach out to him!
On Friday the miracles didn't slow down!! We texted Marren to set up a time to meet with him and he's like "can yall come right now" so of course we did! Some little background. He has a girlfriend who was very against the church and would never talk to us. Well when we pulled up to his house they were both outside waiting for us and smiling!! It turned into a fantastic lesson where we got to share with Louchrissa the restoration and she is so awesome!!! We never thought she'd be willing to meet with us but look at that God works with everyone!!!! He truly blesses each and every one of us! We ended Friday by playing Soccer with the YSA. I actually scored 2 goals which is crazy, I suck at soccer.
Saturday was quite hectic again! I swear this week has been so crazy. We got to have a lesson with Omar and also go to a baptism!! Ended the day by going on a miniature exchange with Elder Martin, he's a really fun missionary. Basically he's obsessed with trains which is really cool!!
Sunday was literally one of the most jam-packed days I've been a part of. Had ward council with 5th ward at 6 am then went to 5th Ward's 1st hour and then left for the ysa ward council and went to church there. Oh and I gave a talk in sacrament meeting, if you wanna read it here is the link:
Then we had to drive up to Trophy Club and set up for the why I believe fireside. It was a crazy day it but is a day absolutely filled with the spirit!!!
I absolutely had a great week, I know that y'all can see blessings too if you continually pray and connect with God every day!!! Have a great week!

8/19/24 Week 32- I went on exchange with the Next AP?!?!
Monday was awesome! I swear we always end up going thrifting on pday but that's alright I don't like saving money anyway 😒. We did go to Braums as a district too. And I found some sweet-looking caiman boots for only $35. And may or may not have found the jackpot of suspenders... ended pday out by playing poker with Elders.
Tuesday we started an exchange with the Zone Leaders. I was blessed because Elder Johansen came to the ysa with me (I bet he's the next AP). Anyway we were supposed to play volleyball that night but the gym was taken over by a bunch of sweet old ladies. We decided to play touch rugby instead which was a lot of fun. Should've listened to Colby and played in high school.
Wednesday was frigging awesome because I was with Elder Johansen but not one of our contacts answered the door. We ended the day at young men's doing family history and sneaking into choir practice, I mean it's our building so we didn't really sneak in...
Thursday we had a fire lesson with Nita who we introduced to the missionaries down in Alvarado and we had an awesome lesson with a referral from the 6th ward Elders and well let's just say the spirit was so strong, we invited him to be baptized and he accepted!! September 7th can't come soon enough!!!
Friday was crazy busy. Just a lot of driving around in our new car. I'm not complaining. Got to end the day mowing Stephen's Lawn and I caught a Gecko. It was a fun day!
Saturday we had an awesome lesson with Omar who's on date for September 7th and had a great lesson with Marren! We also got to help out at the bishops storehouse again!
Sunday was awesome!! Marren came to church in a matching suit to Elder Baker and I. Omar was also able to come to church!! Sundays are always crazy busy. It's like we're running around like a chicken with our heads cut off. We also got to attend one of our friends birthday parties! I got to sing some karaoke and well you only get to hear that garbage if you join my photo album!
Have a totally tubular week yall!!
