5/20/2025 Week 72- Master Ugwa the Wise

 Monday was a pretty sweet pday, we didn't do anything too crazy but we went boot shopping and thrifting. And wow I actually didn't buy anything this time! I then got to play some magic with Elder Smith!! That night I joined a set of Elders of exchange. Learned so much from them and ended the night by sleeping on their rooftop patio!

Tuesday I was still on exchange and we had district council! It was a great time especially since my new district is absolutely amazing!! Afterwards all things blurred together and I don't remember anything else, other than it was an amazing time!

Wednesday was insane, we had Zone Conference and it was so good. We talked about fighting for our goals to fight for the souls! Talked a lot about the Doctrine of Christ and how it lives in all of us. President John loves using non scriptural quotes, he pulled out one from master Ugwa which is so applicable to missionary work and life. 

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, that's why it's called the present."

Anyway, it was a great time and I learned so much, the rest of the night was filled with dinner, and youth activities.

Thursday was a pretty normal day despite having to take our truck in for a tire change. Other than that had a good time visiting people!

Friday was also a normal day, except for dinner we had the opportunity to have it with an inactive member who doesn't want to come back to the church, but he loves having the Elders over so we took what we could get!

Saturday one of the AP's came and joined Elder Grover and I, it was a good day! It felt super long, had lunch with 2 recent converts which was delicious!! Than met a bunch of cool people later in the day, overall it was a learning filled experience!

Sunday was again super hectic. Running back and forth for church service to church service. One thing I've learned is that despite constantly moving around, I can find peace and rest as I'm partaking of the Sacrament. It is a sacred time.

5/12/2025 Week 71- baby racoons

 Ok so on Sunday I found out I was leaving Weatherford 🙃. I wasn't too bummed honestly, I loved my time in Weatherford but I'm excited for a change and to BAPTIZE NATIONS in my new area.

Monday went early in the morning up to Jacksboro to go fishing! I didn't catch anything but I got a few bites. We then went to eat at IHOP as a district!! A member paid for all of us so Super Miracles! Played some games and then that night I got to hold a baby raccoon 💯.

Tuesday was the big day, I found out I was going to the Alliance Stake covering the Woodland Springs and Timbercreek wards!! I have two new companions. Elder Smith and Grover! Super excited for this transfer!! Had some lessons and that's about it! 

Wednesday we had an amazing district council! We had a bunch of great visits and lessons!!

Thursday pretty normal miracle filled day, more visits. We also got to be at one of the young men's mission call opening!

Friday we had Mission Leadership Council, it was a great revelation-filled meeting with all the other Zone Leaders and the STLs. Talked a lot about meaningful prayers throughout our days. After this meeting we get a call letting us know that we are now covering a 3rd ward this transfer 😵‍💫. It's gonna be a lot of fun but super intense.

Saturday we got to go to a park cleanup with the Trophy Club ward. And then the rest of the day I got to go to the temple with one of my recent converts Blaze. Even better I got to get back with my previous companions Elder Straw and Ferguson for this time! It was super awesome and very spirit-filled!!

Sunday was a very spirit-filled day given we went to 3 different Sacrament meetings! And it was also Mother's Day so that added to it. We ALSO GOT TO INVITE OUR FRIEND RICKY TO BE BAPTIZED. Now he's on date for May 31st!!!!!!

5/5/2025 Week 70- Movie Theaters and Jesus Freaks

 k so this week was crazy as always!! Monday was a normal day where we had District Council, which was so good! Oh yeah, I was on exchange with my district leader, Elder Mather. Super fun time!! Had a good lesson with Dawn and well, she's pushing her date back more :( Anyway, that was Monday!!

Tuesday was our P-day, and we started it off really early at 4:30 because we took Elder Adams to Fort Worth so he could go to the temple. Then we visited some recent converts I taught in FW. Too bad none of them were home. Then we went up to Colleyville for THE SUPRISE. President and Sister John surprised us by renting out 2 movie theaters and showing us the last 3 episodes of season 5 of The Chosen. It was a great time, one of the lines used called John the Baptist a Jesus freak, and it reminded me of a really good song by Josiah Queen. Check it out y'all! Oh, I forgot to mention we took a trip to the mission office again 😵‍💫. 

Wednesday was just normal, average day. Made some visits and had a couple of lessons. Went to mutual and then started an exchange with the Ap's. I got to join Elder Spitzenberg in his area, and I learned a lot!

Thursday was a miracle-filled day for sure. We met so many cool people and had a few lessons. Went to Slim Chickens for lunch. Rating 5/10, not the worst, not the best. Got to go help someone move in on the 3rd floor so that was fun. And then went to institute right after. 

Friday another normal-ish day. It was raining like crazy for a lot of the day, which makes things wayyy more fun! 

Saturday... I got to go to the temple to support someone I taught back in FW 5th!! She took her Edownment out so it was a very spiritual experience! I got to see a lot of my favorite members!

Sunday was church, which means the Sacrament!!!! And I got to bless it so that made it so much better! Afterwards I said my goodbyes to Dawn 😭😭. I'm gonna miss her so much. Then had dinner and got to help put up a carport 💯

4/29/2025 Week 69- Birthday Cakes and Boots

 Monday was a pretty awesome day! Started the day off with going to the mission office once again 💯. Then we went to Shep's for lunch as a district. It was sooo good!! After that we decided it was a good idea to play Fruit Ninja irl so we bought some bananas and pulled out my swords and we had some fun! Then finished the night off with a lesson at Dawn's

Tuesday was a super fun day, I whipped out the cake I made and I think it looked pretty cool but what do yall think? Anyway then we went and worked more on Dawn's ramp which is always a blast! For dinner the Smiths had a special plan involving Lightsabers so that was sweet!!!

Wednesday started off the day with some service with a member! We helped her put together a tornado shelter, it was a lot of fun. Didn't get to do everything we wanted because time but someday I'll be back to finish the project! Had a lesson with Dawn then went to do more service with the Youth cutting overgrown plants and trees!!

Thursday we took a trip to Euless so Elder Adams could go to the Doctor. And well you know what that means... another trip to the office! Then we had a few contacts and lessons and that was the day!!

Friday morning I got one of my wisdom teeth removed so that took me out of commission for the day! 

Saturday I had more energy so we had a couple lessons and as we were leaving one there was a guy working on a car so I offered to help and suprisingly he let me help. And then after helping him with that one of his friends needed a tire changed and we did that for them. Finished the night off by watching a restoration performance put on by the youth! 

Sunday was great as always. Partook of the Sacrament. DAWN MADE IT TO CHURCH, Our new friend Tim did too and now he's preparing to be baptized. I also got to watch another sacrament meeting because my cousin gave his farewell talk. Shoutout Tyson, you'll do great things in Germany, Love ya ❤️
