Elder Bryce Thompson: 9/23/2024 Week 37- "Ref you stink"

We had the best start to our week! Of course that was because we went to the temple Tuesday morning!! We went with Stephen a member from the 6th ward and he's freaking awesome! What's even cooler is that it was the first time he's gone in 4 years!!! Anyway it was a great pday, went thrifting for a little bit and then ended by playing poker again. The greenies went awal and started betting real money 😵‍💫. Just kidding they didn't really!

Wednesday was a pretty normal day. Got to make a couple visits and we had a couple lessons so that was awesome! For young men's, they played Frisbee golf do we got to play!! I tied for second with Elder Baker. And our Bishop got first place. I swear Bishop's are just naturally good at everything.

Thursday we had our interviews with President and I absolutely loved it!! President John is the best mission president ever! I may be biased but that's okay. We also had a lesson with our friend Landon who is on date to be baptized on October 12th!! Ok and that night we did something so fun! Instead of going to institute Brother Angiuano decided we should go to the BYU-TCU soccer game!!!! So we were able to go and take our friend Braylon!! What's really cool is we taught him a lesson during halftime 😎. Never thought I'd teach a lesson on TCU campus!! Anyway the game itself was so bad. BYU started out 1-0 and then the ref decided to win the game for TCU. It was atrocious. So bad that the BYU player would breathe on the TCU player and the ref would call a penalty. And called 2 yellow cards on BYU that shouldn't have, which led to 2 goals. Anyway enough negativity. It was a fun experience regardless!

Friday was really fun too! We spent a majority of the day driving around to Inactive members houses. We got to drive over to Mansfield, first time I've been there and we also stopped inside HEB for the first time. That was a pretty cool experience. That night to end it off we had a meeting with Elder and Sister Haslam! The new senior couple that covers the YSA!!!

Saturday was more of the same! Just more visits to inactive members. We also had a lesson with Omar as well as Marren which was so cool! We also weekly planned and that was basically all that happened Saturday!

Sunday was pretty cool and normal. Not much went on. Our friend Braylon finally came to church and he absolutely loved it!!! It was so awesome!! We also had a linger longer with the ysa which was fun too!!
