Monday we played more poker for the majority of the day and then did some more thrifting. I did buy another pair of boots. (Dad I swear I'm not addicted, 11 pairs aren't too many...🙄) For FHE it was a game night so we just played cover your assets and then played some basketball toward the end, Reddick and I destroyed the other team 🫠
Tuesday was pretty special as well! For District council I was in charge of the training which I absolutely love doing, anyway, I invited our Bishop and 2 members to come and help us practice teaching with members so that was a lot of fun!!! Then we had lessons with Marren and Braylon! And ended the night off with volleyball!
Wednesday was freaking epic! We met 3 new friends on campus, and one was a friend of a member so that was sweet! And then after that we were at McDonald's to meet one of our new members and a lady came up to us and asked if we could give her any money. We told her we couldn't and then we parted ways. Right as I was throwing away my trash and walking towards the door. I saw her and was so strongly prompted to talk to her so I asked if we could share a message with her and she was so grateful we did!! Meeting with her again this week! AND then we drove by one of our other friend's house to see if he was home. He was outside talking to his neighbor and asked us to go help the neighbor with so service so we did. THEN we shared a message with her!! It's incredible the people you meet and befriend by talking to literally everyone!!! I still dislike the part where I have to talk to people but I know that as I put forth the effort, Christ WILL strengthen me!!
Thursday was so epic too!! Had a fire lesson with our new friend Daniel. We go to know him even better and found out what he was desiring, a closer connection with Christ. We taught the Doctrine of Christ and invited him to be baptized and he accepted!!! He is SO flipping sweet! Then we met a few new friends as well!! Had a lesson with our friend named Landon too. Finished the day off by mowing a massively overgrown jungle!!
Friday we went to a "training graduation" it was insane. Elder Baker had to do 4 hours of role-playing and quizzes in order to "pass" he told me it really wasn't that bad. I just got to role-play as the friend being taught. I was pretty hard on the missionary who I was role-playing with. But that's totally fine, she did really well!! I swear, Sisters are just way better missionaries than Elders!!!
Saturday Conference was absolutely amazing!! I would give more in-depth thoughts but I'm really busy today. Watched the 3rd session with the Sagnimeni family!! Best family in the Texas Fort Worth Mission frfr.
Sunday was insane as well!! Sadly started the day by finding out I'm being transfered 😭. I'm gonna miss this area so much! Anyway for the morning session we watched it with the YSA and that was epic!! Then for the afternoon session we came back and watched it with the Sagnimeni family!!! Biggest take away from conference is that we have to prepare "RIGHT NOW" the Lord is hastening is work and we need to be ready for what is to come! Ok we found out as well that Elder Baker my trainie is now going to train!!!!! So excited!!
Got to end the night by saying goodbye to Omar :((( Hardest of all was saying goodbye to Marren, we've been teaching him the whole time I've been here. Love ya Marren!!
