Just got transferred to a new area, I am now in the Burleson 1st ward!! The Fort Worth Temple is being built in the ward boundaries so we get to drive by the temple 2-3x a day, if not more!!!
I am also now a French-speaking Elder?!? Just kidding, my new companion Elder Cain is a French Elder, but is taking a break in an English area. He's super rad!!
Monday for our last district Pday we went to the Fort Worth Zoo which was so fun!! My second time going but animals are always so cool! After that we went to top-golf with the whole Zone. Our mission president took us because we did so well this past transfer with Lessons with members. Took me a little while to warm up but towards the end I was doing decent. That night we spent saying goodbye to a few more members/friends :(
Tuesday found out I was going down to Burleson!!! And then we were off. Just spent the day meeting ward leaders and members. We did find a really awesome guy named EJ. I'll share more details later. That's about it!
Wednesday was about the same. Had a super awesome lesson with EJ and who's brother came up to us. Taught them about baptism and invited them to be baptized!! They accepted and are preparing to be baptized November 2nd!!
Thursday wasn't anything crazy, just planning contacts. Oh and we had an Ice cream event that night with the stake presidency and missionaries so that was fun!
Friday just spent most the day making fliers for the upcoming trunk or treat and that's about it. Then after our dinner we totally remembered that we were going to help out at the stake pinewood derby the next day. So we called up our primary president and asked if she happened to have extra cars that we could make. She happened to have two extras!!! Spent the rest of the night making a couple masterpieces (see photos)
Saturday was the pinewood derby!! Got to help as a "kid police" making sure the kids didn't get too close to the track. They had 3 different tracks so that was cool! Our cars weren't very fast 😵💫. They had awards afterwards based on votes from everyone. Let's just say Elder Cain and I stole some awards from the kids
:( My car won most creative and Elder Cain's won fan favorite. I felt bad for about 30 seconds and then got over it! Maybe made a few kids cry... just kidding. Anyway that was a really fun experience!!
Sunday was a lot slower than I'm used to with only one ward. I definitely enjoy being part of multiple wards, but hey maybe next transfer!!
