Monday we had district council which was nice to be at in person. Made some visits and met some awesome people!! Got to end the night with a lesson with Dawn ❤️
Tuesday we barely made it to the temple for our appointment. We were also crammed into a tiny suv, but I'm not complaining because at least the temple is only an hour and a half away and I get to go every 6 weeks!
Wednesday we went over to Dawn's and I got to fix her chicken coop which was a lot of fun of course 💯. We then got the band back together and rightfully got Elder Ferguson back with us. Went to young men's that night and had another lesson afterwards.
Thursday interviews were supposed to happen and well Prez got sick so he pushed them to the next day which worked out but it was a lot of craziness for sure. Anyway, traveled to Granbury to visit a friend. They didn't answer but we stopped by a new gas station on the way back and they have a bunch of free stuff 😎. And went to Dawn's for another lesson!!!
I've talked so much about Dawn. Here is a few of her quotes since meeting her, just so you can get to know her better!
Elder Thompson: "Will you be baptized by someone holding the proper authority just like Jesus was?"
Dawn: "Okie dokie"
*Dawn casually playing angry birds*
Dawn: "Ah fiddlesticks"
Member: "why did you answer the door for the missionaries?"
Dawn: "The spirit slapped me upside the head"
Elder Ferguson: "Can we get a picture with you?"
Dawn: "I'm going to poke you in the eye"
Elder Straw: "Do you want this locked?"
Dawn: "Yes because of the boogeyman"
Friday was a great day now that we had interviews! It was a little different this time for me, I got to train the other Elders who are in the Zone so that was a lot of fun. The first set of Elders was rough but it got better! We had a bunch of visits that day as well and again met some really cool people.
Saturday we got to help a British member in our ward. That alone is cool. We also help another member with his property, it wasn't super crazy work but it just made we want to buy a piece of land that much more haha. Oh and when we were out that way we saw a beaver... it wasn't alive. And no Dad I didn't try to eat it this time. Anyways, more visits and lesson with Blaze who's getting baptized next Saturday!!
Sunday we had Church and partook of the sacrament!! We got to help with a mission prep class which was super fun! Then that night we just planned our zone council this upcoming week!
