Elder Bryce Thompson: 2/10/2024 Week 57- The Book of Mormon

This week was super exciting and packed full of crazy stuff!!

Monday we finally did something as a district and played sand volleyball! That's about all we did, but hey im not complaining, I love volleyball.

Tuesday we had district council, in which we studied 2 Nephi 8 which talks more about the gathering of Israel. It was honestly super hard to understand but I always enjoy a challenge especially when I have other missionaries to bounce ideas off of!! We also got to go to a show choir performance of one of the young men, and that was super cool! Then we started my first exchange of the week!!

Wednesday was a lot of fun, we got to visit a lot of people and had the privilege of talking to so many people as well. No one ended up being interested but I absolutely love the opportunities I have to share the most important truth on the earth today. The Book of Mormon!!!

Thursday not much more happened. Just talked to a bunch of people but nothing came from it. We also started my second exchange in the week! It was honestly so fun!! I went to the Mansfield 2nd area.

Friday was so miracle filled. There were so many people outside and we got to talk to soooo many people!! Also cool miracle, we visit the same house 2 times by accident. The first time the guy wasn't interested, but the second time, a different guy was outside and he was interested. It was so cool to see how God puts us in people's paths!

Saturday was pretty awesome as well! We had 2 lessons planned and they both canceled so that was unfortunate. I did have the privilege of doing my first "real" baptismal interview which was such a cool experience. It's such a weird situation however, she's getting baptized into our ward but I still got to do the interview!!

Sunday I found out I was leaving The Best Ward in the world! Burleson 1st is such a great area with amazing members. It's hard for me to leave I'll forever miss this place. I will be back though for the temple open house in 2 years haha. Had mission prep again and it was a lot of fun role-playing with the young men!! We learned how to introduce the Book of Mormon to people because you know its the BEST gathering tool!!
