I was invited by Elder Carter to memorize the Living Christ so I started Monday Morning, and after a few attempts I got it down Tuesday! I love it so much. I've caught myself reciting parts of it in lessons and there is so much power in it!!!
I invite all of you to memorize the Living Christ. I can promise it will add a whole new light on Jesus Christ and all he's done for us individually!
Monday we got to go to the mission home for p-day at presidents! I played a basketball game, I was on PJ's team and of course we won!! Had a lot of fun. Oh and also we went to the mission office before then. Thats important. We then had dinner with a member and he needed his TV thrown away so he pulled out his weapons and we started destroying it!! Then had a lesson with Dawn!
Tuesday I got to help fix the fence of an older lady in the ward. It was a lot of fun and only took about 15 minutes! We made some visits afterwards and that's about the rest of the night...just kidding. We get a knock on the apartment around 9 pm and its the other elders in our district and 2 elders from Fort Worth. So basically, Elder Bolkeim and Mather's truck broke down and they didnt have a place to stay so they crashed at our apartment.
Wednesday we drove the Elders to the mission office so they could get their truck back! Mission Office pt 2 💯. Then went to Costco for lunch and then finally had DC. Then had dinner then mutual where we got to make some slings 🤠
Thursday was finally a somewhat normal day. Had a few lessons that went through and visited some more people. And then that night I joined Elder Bolkeim in Azle/Springtown on exchange. It is sooo pretty up there!
Friday we made it our goal to visit all the media referrals they got in the last week. We weren't able to hit them all but we did our best. One funny reaction was when this lady was racist to Elder Bolkeim. And of course I had to stand up for him and that pissed her off 😂. Oh and also, Elder Bolkeim's phone broke that morning so we took another trip to the mission office that day 💯. Anyway, overall great day
Saturday we went to the Jerusalem Market that was put on by the stake and it was so amazing, there were different booths throughout the whole church! They even had a live donkey 😆. Then that night the tornado sirens started going off and lets just say the first spotted tornado was about 15 minutes away and it kept getting closer and closer. But nothing was damaged from what we've heard. I spent a bit in the bathtub with a mattress over me. It was interesting for sure.
Sunday was an amazing day. I was thinking about the tornadoes and then I compared what we experienced to what the Nephites did in 3 Nephi. They went through darkness and natural disaster before Christ came and visited them. It was cool that today was Easter and super sunny out. Just another sign from God that his Son Jesus Christ rose again!
