Okok so I don't remember if I mentioned it but last week was a struggle for everything up until our friends showed up to church! I forgot to mention I taught Sunday school and well that was so much fun... Anyway,
Monday was pretty awesome. Had district council and had a couple lessons! Also got to help a member move into our ward. He is a woodworker so I got to geek out on all his cool tools he had!!
Tuesday was one of the best days I'll have on my mission! We went to the temple in the morning for an Endowment session, went antiquing, and then that night we went back to the temple, this time to do baptisms with the youth! We got to go for Synceres first time!!!
Wednesday had a great day. And two amazing lessons. One with Jesus and Jennifer who I mentioned last week. And another with Phillip!! Then drove to Mansfield to start an exchange.
Thursday I got the privilege of going with Elder Linville! He's only been out 6 months but he such a good missionary, learned so much from him. And also Mansfield is such a fun place. We went to a place called Venus, TX which is just such a cool place. I did my first baptismal interview with their friend Daniel who is so awesome. He got baptized the next day!!
Friday had a great day and we found out our friends Phillip and Phyllis were getting baptized on Sunday. Other than that, had a couple lessons and that's about it.
Saturday had a buncchhh of contacts and had a lesson with Phyllis!
Sunday was the big day. Let's just start off by saying that the whole day made it feel like we were headless chickens running around. First, at church we had 10 friends show up!?!?! That's the most I've ever experienced. We were in and out of sacrament meeting haha, it was so crazy. We had a lesson with Jesus and Jennifer right after sacrament and then we BOLTED down to Cleburne to start filling the font for the Baptism. Phillip and Phyllis got baptized and entered into a covenant with our Heavenly Father. It was such a surreal experience. I met them back in October because Phyllis put in a media referral and we've been meeting with them almost everyday. There's been a bunch of obstacles along the way but THEY GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!! I love them both so much!
I KNOW that y'all WILL see miracles as you start to look for them!
LOVE ALL YALL,
Elder Thompson
